Cloud Software Architect

As a Cloud Solutions Architect at AsVa Consulting, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions for our clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client requirements, develop architectural designs, and lead the implementation of cloud-based systems. Your expertise in cloud technologies and architectures will be crucial in driving the success of our cloud projects.

As a Cloud Lead Software Architect, you’ll work as a tech lead on a Client Services Team (CST) that handles a portfolio of cloud projects. CSTs generally also include a Business Analyst, a Project Manager, and other developers.

You’ll take part in AsVa Consulting’s internal tech forums, contribute to the growth of your CST, and help with continual refinement and improvement of best practices as the industry moves forward.

As a reliable self-starter who writes clean robust code, you’ll deliver significant value for appreciative clients, and you’ll share in the effort to dramatically improve your clients’ businesses.

• Actively take part in Agile Scrum process with other members of your Client Services Team 
• Define and maintain architectural patterns, processes, and standards in support of the overall enterprise architecture vision. 
• Partner with business stakeholders to define performance metrics for target architectures
• Promote and educate stakeholders on the use and value of architecture improvements, especially with regard to cloud architecture considerations
• Confer with business stakeholders and application developers to understand both the business requirements and technical constraints. 
• Provide architectural expertise to development teams including communicating architectural decisions
• Oversee multiple projects in order to preserve the architectural vision and protect stakeholder interests as well as to meet operational and financial reporting requirements
• Understand enterprise governance requirements and standards. Guide development teams in the traceability, reporting, and auditing requirements for governance purposes. 
• Develop future state cloud blueprints for key systems along with a transition plan and a roadmap, and prototype solutions as needed
• Technical design of solutions to meet those requirements
• Use cloud native services to improve client business results
• Occasional participation as a Sales Liaison to help evaluate and estimate new work
• Proactive daily time tracking and excellent business mechanics

• Minimum 3-5 years as a JavaScript developer with recent experience designing and delivering solutions on the cloud
• Hands-on development experience in several mid-size single-page applications with custom APIs
• Experience in architecting solutions for cross-program, and cross-project architecture strategies, opportunities, and problem resolution
• Experience in defining and articulating cloud migration strategies
• Experience collaborating, influencing, and negotiating with stakeholders
• Applicable experience with OAuth, React, Node, TypeScript, SQL/NoSQL, Git, and IDEs
• Effective communication with co-workers and customers
• Experience as a team leader with a mentoring mindset
• Eligible to work in the US
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification

• Experience with product development life cycle would be a plus
• Experience with agile development methodology (Scrum)
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification
• Other AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure Cloud certifications
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Experience using DevOps and agile software development
• Experience with software development with Java, Spring Framework, Angular or similar frontend technologies, as well as Python and other current software technologies and frameworks
